In July 2022, Eaglemoss Partworks went into administration, leading to the cessation of all its works including the Doctor Who Figurine Collection. Issue No 215 was the last official release, but the series had been projected to 250 issues. Some remaining unreleased figures were acquired by Sci Fi Collector, issues 216 to 227*, specials 30* and 31, Tardis Consoles Nos 8 and 9 (with magazines) and 'The Image of the Fendahl' story set (without magazine). Also released were Mega figures 10 (with magazine) and 11 (without magazine). In addition to the unreleased figures, a number of enterprising customisers started releasing 3D printed figurines in Eaglemoss figure scale which inspired Neil Corry, former Eaglemoss employee, to start a spin-off fanzine called The Doctor Who Figurine Collecting Fanzine. In 2025, Sci Fi Collector have started issuing new figurines from the original projected list (not in number order) and in late 2025, Neil Corry has also commenced the release of the magazines that would have accompanied the figures from Issue No 220.

In 2023, Neil Corry published 'Flying Onto Shelves - Doctor Who Figurine Book' listing all the figurines that had been issued and what had been planned for the future.
