The Wind in the Willows was a stop-motion animated children's TV series that ran for four seasons from 1984 to 1987 following a pilot TV movie in 1983. It was followed by a TV movie "A Tale of Two Toads" in 1988 and a fifth and final season that was renamed as "Oh. Mr Toad" in 1989. All five series and the two films were made by Cosgrove Hall for Thames Television and shown on ITV. In addition there have been a few TV movies and another animated series in 1995 and in 1996 there was a live-action movie. A number of TV tie-in children's books were published by Methuen Books under their imprint of 'Thames Magnet' and at least one TV tie-in book was published by Ladybird Books. Several of the stories were later reprinted by various publishers though I only have the one St Michael version of these. Buzz Books published four episode novelisation books based on the 1995 animated series.
