Gerald
of Wales was a one-off animated television special made by Siriol Productions
and co-produced with CADW and Channel S4C. It was an historical cartoon
based on the life of Gerald de Barri, a Cambro-Norman priest and historian
who lived c. 1146 – c. 1223. Three books were published with the TV
special tie-in covers by CADW / Hughes Books in 1988. These were reprinted
with a new cover design in 1994 and 1998.
