Dallas
was an extremely popular US soap drama that ran for fourteen seasons
from 1978 to 1991. Books were published both in the US and the UK by
Dell Books, Granada/Mayflower Books, Corgi Books, Arrow Books and the
"Soaps and Serials" range from Pioneer Communications Network.
In 2012 a brand new series of Dallas was launched, set twenty years after the last 1991 episode (and ignores the TV movies 'Dallas : J R Returns' and 'Dallas : War of the Ewings'). It is centred around the now grown-up Ewing children (John-Ross and Christopher). The new series lasted for three seasons and season 2 featured the death of the magnificent J R Ewing (played by Larry Hagman who sadly died during the making of the season). No new books were published based on this series. |
