The
US published more books of The Avengers than the UK, even though the
TV series originated in the UK. There were nine numbered books published
by Berkley Books in the US and a few single publications in the UK.
The TV series was very popular during the 60s and was revived as The
New Avengers during the 70s. As with a lot of other 60s/70s popular
TV series, a movie was made and novelised (US and UK editions shown
below).
