UK MAP POSTCARDS BY DESIGN
Dunlop Rubber Co

Back to Design Index

This series of postcards featured maps that formed part of Dunlop Tyres 1940s advertising in the Illustrated London News, Rural Affairs Magazine and other publications of the time. The collection of maps was titled "The Old Roads of England" (even though one of them was in Scotland) and seven of them were published as postcards, initially by the Dunlop Rubber Co and later by Illuminated Map Postcards. The later publications had both 'Illuminated' and 'Dunlop' on the back and came in either matt or glossy finish (the latter resulting in darker colours).
