Sam
and Silo first appeared in 1977 and the first book was published by Tempo
in 1979. The authors were Jerry Dumas and Mort Walker (of Hi & Lois
fame) who first got together in 1961 for a comic strip called "Sam's
Strip". I do not know if any other books were issued. The strip continues
to this day, from 1995 handled by Jerry Dumas alone.
