Hugh
Burnett is renowned for his religious humour books, mostly about monks.
There were six books published (confirmed by the author himself who contacted
me the other day to point out that he's still amongst the living and that
I should have said 'is' renowned not 'was' renowned - thanks Hugh - good
to hear you're still out there), all published by Merlin Press Books,
first in hardback edition, then later in paperback.

The
book above was issued as 'by Phelix'. I asked Hugh Burnett why this was...
his reply : "Top Sacred was the first book I did, published under
the name 'Phelix', because at that time I was drawing for the New Statesman,
whilst working at the BBC."
