Garth
has been a comic strip in the Daily Mirror from 1943 to 1997. It was first
written by Steve Dowling, followed by John Allard, Frank Bellamy and finally
Martin Asbury. Despite its long history, very few books were published.
Fleetway published two annuals for 1975 and 1976, one standard paperback
'annual-size' and one as a landscape paperback. There were also two graphic
novels published by Titan Books and at least one by Daily Mirror Books
in 1960. In Australia, Budget Books published one longer landscape book
No 1 implying a series, but as with a lot of the Budget Books series,
A No 2 did not appear.
