Calvin and Hobbes is an ongoing comic strip written by Bill Watterson.

The first book was issued in 1987 by Andrews and McMeel in the US. In the UK, books were re-published by both Sphere Books and Warner Books. Warner Books also started a numbered series of standard size paperbacks in the UK in 1992 which only lasted to No 3.
